Two Blogging Tips You Can Use Right Now
You encounter many professional bloggers who are talking about ways to drive more traffic to your blog, but these methods are very time consuming.
Often they will tell you to make contact with other bloggers and make yourself known to them. That way they’ll comment on your blogs, or at least become aware of you. They will also recommend that you link to other bloggers’ posts because these bloggers know who is linking to them and this increases their awareness of you and your site.
Those are all great tips, but if you want to increase website traffic without having to do a lot of time-consuming work there are some easy things to do that will get you more traffic.
On-page optimization tip-
It has been my experience that it only takes a few quality backlinks to get your domain name highly ranked if you’re using good keywords in your domain name.
Prior to building a new site, you should be aware that a keyword-rich domain name is one of the most powerful search engine optimization aspects for a site. You should take this into consideration.
For example, if you own a domain name called bluegreenwidgets dot com, you can rank well for the term bluegreenwidgets with only a few backlinks.
The second most important on-page optimization factor on your site is the title of the site itself. Here you are advised to mix in a variation of your domain name, but use two sets of keywords for the site’s title.
In the example above, you would give the domain name bluegreenwidgets the site title of Blue Widgets – Green Widgets. In order to achieve maximum benefit from you on page factors, don’t just give your website the same title as the domain name.
That’s a good tip that will get you more traffic and ranking with less effort, just by making a few changes that take 15 seconds to do.
Blog writing tips-
It’s diificullt to write a lot of good content to a lot of sites all the time, especially if you are doing some niche affiliate marketing in some niches you don’t know much about.
The secrets here is to write when you feel compelled to do so and to write with authority and passion. Obviously you can’t write with authority and passion unless you know something about your niche topic. You can resolve this by getting free website content and learning more about the niche by watching television and reading the newspaper.
If you chose a niche that is related to a very general and popular subject, you will find a lot of information from sources like the magazines, newspapers, and television if you become tuned in to this content. Then what you need to do is to write about what’s hot right now and relates to your niche topics.
